Trump Says He Will Meet Xi Again in China in November and US in December

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 25th (local time) that he plans to meet twice more with Chinese President Xi Jinping within this year, as the Chinese leader departed for home following his state visit to the United States.

Writing on his social media platform Truth Social that day, President Trump said, "We will meet again in China in November, and then again in December at the G20 Summit held in Miami, Florida (U.S.)."

President Trump's remarks officially confirmed earlier mentions by President Xi, who had invited President Trump and the First Lady to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Shenzhen, China, in November and noted they could meet again at the G20 meeting in Florida in December.

Reflecting on the summit held on the occasion of President Xi's visit to the U.S., President Trump described it as a meeting of "friendship, strength, and success for both China and the United States."

He added, "Much has been accomplished, and much more will be achieved," concluding with, "Looking forward to our next meeting!"

Following the launch of Trump's second administration, the two leaders have held three summits so far: in Busan last October, in Beijing, China, this May, and now at the White House.
