Trump Says Summit with Xi Was Productive... 'Tremendous Things Will Happen'

U.S. President Donald Trump assessed on the 25th (local time) that his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping was very productive.

President Trump wrote on social media Truth Social that day, "The meeting with President Xi was very productive for both the United States and China," adding, "Tremendous things will happen."

President Trump and President Xi held a summit and a state dinner together at the White House the previous day, and the meeting between the leaders of the global hegemonic rivals, which could have a major impact on the global economic and security order, drew intense attention from around the world.

However, most U.S. media outlets evaluate that the event merely provided a flashy spectacle and stopped at stably managing bilateral relations without making notable progress on issues where the two countries are at odds.

In fact, the two countries have not made any official announcements regarding the outcomes even on the 25th, a day after the summit.

Regarding artificial intelligence (AI), President Trump also wrote, "Like almost everyone else, he (Xi Jinping) seemed to like calling the poorly and inaccurately named 'artificial intelligence' by a much more accurate and important name, 'superintelligence' (SI)."

He went on to emphasize, "'Super' would be right. Everyone last night agreed."
