Yes, this didn't happen in South Korea; it took place on a highway in California, USA.
At the time, the vehicle was traveling at about 97 km/h with Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature turned on.
However, a police officer on a motorcycle noticed the driver wearing sunglasses, slumped over, and fast asleep, and quickly pulled the vehicle over.
Police issued the driver a traffic citation for speeding and other violations.
Local police released footage of the incident and urged caution, stating, "The only safe speed when a driver falls asleep is zero miles per hour."
They particularly emphasized that autonomous driving features are merely "assistance systems" to help with driving, not "fully autonomous driving" that can replace a human.
