'Look Back' is a poignant film depicting the affectionate story of two girls who drew unforgettable seasons together and became each other's worlds.
In an actor greeting video released on the 22nd, Deguchi Natsuki and Makita Aju shared their thoughts on the Korean release and announced the confirmation of their visit to Seoul.
Deguchi Natsuki, who plays the role of Fujino, shared her thoughts, saying, "I am truly happy that the Korean release has been confirmed and that I will be able to meet Korean fans," while Makita Aju, who plays Kyomoto, expressed curiosity about the reactions of Korean audiences after the release, saying, "I am looking forward to hearing what impressions they will have after watching the film."
Having been officially invited to the Gala Presentation section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival ahead of her schedule in Busan, 'Look Back' will continue special encounters in Seoul for three days from Thursday, October 8 to Saturday, October 10. Director Kore-eda Hirokazu, Deguchi Natsuki as Fujino, and Makita Aju as Kyomoto are scheduled to attend promotional events in Seoul to meet Korean audiences in person.
The film 'Look Back' is the first live-action adaptation of a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of the global sensation 'Chainsaw Man,' and is directed, written, and edited by Kore-eda Hirokazu, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 for 'Shoplifters.'
Following its achievement of winning five official independent awards at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival and successfully completing its North American premiere screening at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, the film has garnered widespread attention from international film festivals. Advance ticket sales are scheduled to open on September 24.
'Look Back' is scheduled for theatrical release on October 8.
