Yesterday evening (July 30), a restaurant ceiling collapsed in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, injuring 14 people. Meanwhile, a fire at an apartment complex in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, left two people seriously injured.

At around 6:30 p.m. yesterday, the ceiling suddenly collapsed at an all-you-can-eat restaurant located in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province.
[Fire Official : A report came in that the ceiling suddenly collapsed while customers were having a meal inside the restaurant....]
At the time of the accident, there were about 60 people, including customers and staff, inside the restaurant. Fourteen people sustained minor injuries, such as bruising on their faces, and were transported to the hospital.
Fire authorities and police plan to investigate the cause of the collapse through an on-site inspection.

At around 10:20 p.m. yesterday, a fire broke out on the 7th floor of an apartment in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, and was extinguished in about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
During the incident, 10 apartment residents were evacuated in an emergency.

A man in his 30s and a woman in his 60s who were found inside the home during fire suppression efforts were taken to the hospital. Notably, the man in his 30s went into cardiac arrest, received CPR, and later regained consciousness at the hospital.
