Actor Yoo Jun-sang is set to spill the secret behind his three decades in musicals.

On the March 24 episode of SBS variety show "Whenever Possible", hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok welcome Yoo Jun-sang and Kim Geon-woo to Changsin-dong for a dopamine-charged hangout.

The “musical veteran” Yoo Jun-sang draws attention with his intense practice routine. He shocks the hosts by belting out a musical number the moment he arrives―and he doesn’t stop there. Even while walking, he keeps singing, prompting Yoo Jae-suk to give a thumbs-up: “Among active musical actors, you’re the only one who sings while walking down the street.” Yoo Jun-sang explains his philosophy: “To do musicals for a long time, you need an extreme amount of practice. I memorize the entire script on the first day, and―sorry to the cast―I ask everyone to get it down within a week.”

Kim Geon-woo also shares a behind-the-scenes story from their first rehearsal together. Calling himself a “myurin-i” (musical + kid) as he tackles his fourth musical, Kim reveals this is his second time appearing in the same production as Yoo Jun-sang. “The moment we met in the elevator, he started talking to me in character,” he recalls. Yoo Jun-sang then flips into full musical mode on set, trying to pull Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok into an impromptu scene―until Yoo Jae-suk shuts it down with, “I’m just here as the audience,” cracking everyone up.

The trio also coins playful titles as they form a “three-generation” musical unit. With Kim as the “myurin-i,” Yoo Yeon-seok jokes, “I’m more of a ‘myureun-i’ (musical + grown-up), and Jun-sang hyung is our ‘myubeoji’ (musical + father).” The three dive into a heated musical chat, swapping updates on recent projects and veteran-level practice tips.

Will “myubeoji” Yoo Jun-sang’s firepower shine in the "Whenever Possible" games too? Find out when "Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday, the 24th, at 9 p.m.
