[SBS Star] Park Ha Seon Reminisces About the Time When She Rejected Her Husband Ryu Soo Young

Actress Park Ha Seon reminisced about the time when she rejected her husband, actor Ryu Soo Young.

In a recent video on the YouTube channel "Kkondaehee," Park Ha Seon made a guest appearance.

While talking to the host Kim Dae-hee, Park Ha Seon shared her love story with Ryu Soo Young. 

She said, "At first, my husband was just a really good guy to me. Nothing more than that. Soo Young is friends with my company's CEO, so I got a lot of professional help from him. Although I ended up not being able to appear in that project he helped me with, I was really grateful, but I didn't know how to repay him. I held onto that gratitude until we later met on the show 'Two Weeks.'" 

She continued, "While we were filming 'Two Weeks,' I tried to treat Soo Young well. If he had a cold, I'd make sure he had medicine, and I bought him a diffuser on his birthday."
Park Ha Seon laughed and said, "Then one day, Soo Young told me how he felt about me. Before that, he would often improvise and add kissing scenes that weren't in the script, which made me think, 'What's going on with him?' But even after I rejected him, we still got along just fine." 

However, she added, "Soo Young asked me out when he didn't seem at all like a guy I'd date. I'd never been with someone that much older than I am as well, so I had to say no. Normally, that could make things awkward or even cause some drama, but we stayed cool and kept things friendly." 

She went on, "Then one day, my friend and I went to see Soo Young perform, and he looked so cool. Afterward, I found myself wanting to reach out. I waited about 15 days and then texted him in the middle of the night, 'What are you up to, oppa?' He replied the next morning, 'I'm in the countryside, Hongcheon, do you want to come and join me?' At first, I was like, 'Why would I go there?' but then I realized he wasn't some dangerous guy." 

Park Ha Seon smiled as she explained, "So, I went to Hongcheon that day, and even met his parents there. They were so kind. They gave me tea, and stuff. I also met his niece. We watched the stars together too. I could tell he was really family-oriented, and I was impressed. We naturally ended up dating after that." 
 
Park Ha Seon and Ryu Soo Young tied the knot in 2017 and have a daughter together.
