The film "The Assassin(s)" boasts an unprecedented lineup of special appearances that could easily make ten commercial films. Much like a traditional Korean table set with 24 dishes, this glamorous feast of a cast came together after considerable deliberation by the film's director.

On the afternoon of the 10th, during an interview to commemorate the release of "The Assassin(s)" held in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Director Hur Jin-ho spoke about the endless stream of special appearances, saying, "I had my concerns as well. It started with Park Jeong-min, who played the role of Moon Tae-kwang. At first, I thought, 'Would he actually appear?' but I was surprised when he said he would. He is an actor whose work I've found impressive since 'Bleak Night', and he has delivered such great performances in the movies since then. It was a small role, but he read the scenario, liked it, and readily agreed to do it."

He continued, "I suppose it was partly due to the success and aura of the production company Hive Media Corp's previous works (laughs). Also, it seemed that most of the actors read the scenario and found it entertaining. I also had concerns, much like what was just mentioned, that it might disrupt immersion in the events. Therefore, even for small special appearance roles, I met with the actors multiple times. We continuously discussed and communicated about their lines and characters. When people first watch our movie, their reaction is that it's fun to spot the different actors, and personally, I am very satisfied with that."

The revealed special appearances in "The Assassin(s)" include Bae Sung-woo, Uhm Ji-won, Park Ji-hwan, Park Hoon, Ryu Hyeyoung, Choi Yu-ri, Jang Ryul, Ryu Kyung-soo, Kim Dae-myung, Shim Eun-kyung, Park Hae-joon, Park Sung-hoon, Oh Jung-se, Shin Hyun-been, and Jung Woo-sung. However, there are even more lead-level actors appearing as well. While the direction is responsible for maintaining immersion in a work structured to meticulously track an uncompleted case from multiple angles, the fun is added by the actors who played active roles as leads, supporting cast, and special appearances.

"The Assassin(s)" tells the story of tracking the suspicions and masterminds behind the First Lady sniper incident that shocked South Korea on August 15, 1974. Directed by Hur Jin-ho, known for "One Fine Spring Day" and "The Last Princess", the film stars Yoo Hai-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Minho.

The film is scheduled to be released on September 23.
