Following his departure from the group ENHYPEN and his transformation into a solo artist, EVAN has gone straight to the top of physical and digital music charts with his 1st mini album.
According to the album sales aggregation site Hanteo Chart on the 8th, EVAN's 1st mini album "DEATH OF ME" sold a total of 461,488 copies on its release day, taking 1st place on the daily physical album chart for September 7.
His performance on domestic digital music charts was also notable. The title track "Death of Me," which shares the same name as the album, rose to 1st place on the Bugs real-time chart at 8:00 p.m. on the 7th, immediately after its release. On Melon, it entered the "Hot 100" chart (based on releases within 30 days) at 5th place, and the b-side tracks also landed on the charts side by side, proving his strong momentum.
Global response is also enthusiastic. The 1st mini album claimed 1st place on iTunes Top Albums charts in 10 countries and regions, including Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, and Türkiye, and charted in a total of 28 countries and regions. The title track "Death of Me" reached the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart in 7 countries and regions.
"DEATH OF ME" is a new release presented by EVAN approximately 2 months after his digital single "RIDE OR DIE" released in June, and it contains his determination to take hold of tangled emotions and move forward. Featuring a total of 8 tracks, including the heavy pop R&B title track "Death of Me," EVAN led the overall production of the album and infused it with his honest personal stories.
Meanwhile, on the 7th, the day of the release, EVAN held the "EVAN 1st Mini Album 'DEATH OF ME' Debut Showcase" at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, where he performed tracks from the new album and shared album behind-the-scenes stories, spending special time with his fandom, EVER.
After finishing the showcase, EVAN shared his thoughts, saying, "I am beyond relieved and happy to finally release the album I prepared for a long time and to see EVER all in one place. I have just begun my activities, and I have a lot to show you, so I hope you will look forward to it and follow along. I will also work hard and do a great job with my 1st mini album promotions."
EVAN will begin his full-fledged comeback activities starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 10th.
