The film "The Odyssey" continues to demonstrate remarkable staying power even after surpassing the milestone of 10 million moviegoers.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing computer network on the 8th, "The Odyssey" recorded 87,382 viewers nationwide on the 7th, maintaining its position at the top of the box office. Its cumulative audience reached 10,115,354.

Having reached the 10-million mark on the 6th, 33 days after its release, "The Odyssey" defended its number-one spot on weekdays during its sixth week. This is the first time since its release that its daily audience has stayed in the 80,000 range. As it is now in its sixth week, a downward trend is a natural course. However, the drop is smaller than expected. This enduring stamina can be attributed to ongoing audience interest, repeat viewings, and IMAX repeat screenings of "The Odyssey."

Attention is also turning to its final audience numbers. Starting with "The Intern" on the 16th, five Korean films targeting the Chuseok season are set to flood theaters. Amidst expectations of fierce competition, the staying power of "The Odyssey" remains formidable. Considering that not all five new releases can succeed, films that fail to capture early momentum in the competition could easily be tripped up by "The Odyssey" and its powerful stamina.

Whether the staying power of "The Odyssey" will continue through the Chuseok holiday is also a point of interest.
