Yoo Hye-won to Attend Police Summons on September 10 for 'Sponsor Rumor' Lawsuit Victim Investigation

Actor and influencer Yoo Hye-won is set to undergo a victim investigation regarding a lawsuit she filed against broadcaster A, who allegedly spread so-called "sponsor rumors."

Yoo's legal representative, Law Firm Daeryun, announced on the 4th that Yoo will appear at the Seoul Gangdong Police Station with her legal representative at 4:00 PM on the 10th to undergo the victim investigation and plans to cooperate by making a brief statement regarding the matter.

Previously, Yoo Hye-won took legal action against person A on August 27, and the next day on the 28th, she drew attention by posting a photo on her social media containing the phrase meaning that things will eventually return to the right path. The post also included the phrase, "Wrong things may seem to temporarily flourish, but they cannot last long, and eventually, the right thing will win."

Yoo's legal representative, attorney Kim Beom-shik, stated in an official statement, "We are taking the circumstances very seriously in which specific contents regarding Yoo Hye-won's extremely private sphere were mentioned, even though Yoo Hye-won and person A do not know each other and have no separate relation."

He added, "We are closely reviewing the facts related to the creation and distribution of the post, and plan to file a criminal complaint against person A and proceed with a damage claim depending on the result."

This situation began last May when person A posted a message on their social media using the close friends only feature, claiming that Yoo Hye-won received a so-called "sponsorship" from a famous singer-producer while she was in a relationship. In response, Yoo's side stated that it was groundless.

Meanwhile, Yoo has been swept up in dating rumors with former BIGBANG member SEUNGRI multiple times since 2018, and later dating rumors with basketball player Huh Woong were raised, but Yoo's side did not release any official statements on either occasion. Yoo gained a lot of attention by appearing on Mnet's "Couple Palace 2" last year.
