Actors Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee will host the Buil Film Awards for the second consecutive year.

The two have been confirmed as the co-hosts for the 35th Buil Film Awards ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday, October 7, leading the event once again following last year. Having first worked together in the 2017 film "Oneday", Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee reunited as co-hosts at the 34th Buil Film Awards last year, where they showcased fantastic chemistry. Both actors have been selected once again this year to take the microphone side by side as hosts of the Buil Film Awards.

Meanwhile, launched in 1958 as South Korea's first film awards ceremony and marking its 35th installment this year, the Buil Film Awards is drawing attention as formidable works and filmmakers are nominated across major categories, foreshadowing fierce competition.

Director Park Chan-wook's "No Other Choice" became the most nominated film, securing nods in nine categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Director Na Hong-jin's "HOPE" followed with nominations in eight categories, while Director Yoon Ga-eun's "The World of Love" and Director Jang Hang-jun's "The King's Warden" were each nominated in six categories.

In particular, Park Ji-hoon of "The King's Warden", who has drawn attention as this year's top box office star, has been nominated for Best Actor, Best New Actor, and the Star of the Year Award, raising expectations for a triple crown and emerging as another point of interest for the ceremony. Attention is also focused on whether last year's winners will win consecutive awards.

Lee Byung-hun, who won Best Actor for the film "The Match" at the 34th Buil Film Awards, and cinematographer Hong Kyung-pyo, who won the Cinematography Award for "Harbin", have been nominated again this year for "No Other Choice" and "HOPE", respectively, attempting consecutive wins for the second year. Yum Hye-ran has also been nominated simultaneously for Best Actress for "My Name" and Best Supporting Actress for "No Other Choice", drawing interest in the award results.

The 2026 35th Buil Film Awards, hosted by Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee, will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at 4:30 PM at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the largest scale ever. Starting with the red carpet and backstage interviews, the main ceremony and the open talk with the winners of the Star of the Year Award will follow, with the entire process broadcast live exclusively via Naver Chzzk.
