Handball Legends Join 'Kick a Goal' for Special Cup Competition

SBS "Kick a Goal" is teaming up with South Korean handball legends to launch its first-ever handball cup.

Airing at 9:00 p.m. on the 2nd, the upcoming episode of "Kick a Goal" will reveal the highly anticipated opening match of the "Handball Cup," prepared in collaboration with the Korea Handball Association and SK Hynix for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Players who usually tear up the soccer field will take on the challenge of handball, promising a unique thrill and entertainment.

In particular, the project is drawing attention as top figures representing South Korean handball will make full-scale appearances. Led by Yoon Kyung-shin, the "God of Handball" who conquered the German Bundesliga, the lineup features Lee Sang-eun, the real-life protagonist of the movie "Forever the Moment," golden generation icon Kim On-a, left-handed solver Bae Min-hee, Shim Jae-bok who played professionally until just three months ago, and former "Kick a Goal" ace Park Ha-yan, who are stepping up as managers.

Meeting again not as players but as tactical leaders, they have fueled anticipation for a nail-biting match featuring fierce psychological warfare and customized strategies. Additionally, "Asia's Number One Pivot" Park Jung-gyu has joined as a special commentator, adding professional depth.

"Kick a Goal - Handball Cup," where the synergy between handball legends and "Kick a Goal" players will unfold, airs tonight, Wednesday the 2nd, at 9:00 p.m.
