Hyun Bin Exploits Loophole During a Mission on 'Whenever Possible', Soars to 6.1% Ratings

SBS variety show "Whenever Possible" broke its own viewership ratings record once again, fueled by the dedicated performances of actor Hyun Bin and Woo Do Hwan.

Broadcast on the 1st, "Whenever Possible" recorded a peak viewership rating of 6.1% and a household rating of 4.4% (Nielsen Korea, Seoul metropolitan region standard), breaking its own highest rating for the second consecutive week. In addition to ranking first among variety shows, dramas, and cultural programs in the same time slot, its 20-49 viewership rating also climbed to 1.5%, ranking first overall for Tuesdays and proving its overwhelming popularity.

In this episode, the two hosts Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeonseok, along with guests Hyun Bin and Woo Do Hwan, visited the nooks and crannies of Anyang. Hyun Bin, appearing on his first variety show in 23 years since debut, showed off exceptional chemistry by revealing his gym connection with Yu Jae-seok from the opening. Meanwhile, Woo Do Hwan drew attention by proving himself as the son of Anyang, saying, "I just said hello to my father a moment ago. Right in front of here is my high school commute path."

Once the games began, the two showed off their unexpected charms through intense immersion. Hyun Bin, who engaged in a battle of wits with the production team by subtly moving a can during the first mission at a taekwondo and piano academy, ramped up his tenacity after experiencing a disappointing failure in stage three.

At the second location, a Samsung Service Center, the guest host revealed a surprising connection that his wife used to be a filming director for the SBS variety show "Family Outing". Yu Jae-seok expressed delight, saying, "I get to meet a coworker's husband here," and poured more determination than ever into succeeding.

During the tweezers controller mission carried out for the host, Hyun Bin exercised his focus even while his hands trembled from tension. In particular, when Yoo Yeonseok dramatically stacked the nuts during the third-stage challenge, Hyun Bin showed quick wit by ringing the bell instead at a close moment.
