SUNMI Cancels Shanghai Fan Meeting Four Days Prior Due to Operational Concerns

Solo artist SUNMI has abruptly cancelled her fan meeting in Shanghai, China, just four days before the event, citing reasons such as performance quality and operations.

On September 1, SUNMI's agency, Abyss Company, announced via official social media, "We have decided to cancel the Shanghai fan meeting after discussions with the local promoter, as we determined that it is most important to provide an environment where both the artist and fans can enjoy the event with peace of mind, and to deliver the level of performance we originally promised."

Previously, SUNMI was scheduled to hold her fan meeting "Meet SUNMI in Late Summer" at NEOVANA in Shanghai on the 5th.

The agency emphasized, "Following a final review of the local operations and overall preparation status ahead of the event, we concluded that the current state of preparation does not sufficiently guarantee the stable event operation and high-quality fan meeting experience that we value. We sincerely apologize and feel deep regret for delivering this sudden cancellation news to the fans who have shown their support for the fan meeting."

The agency added, "We will strive to create new opportunities for SUNMI to meet her fans in Shanghai again in a more thoroughly prepared and better setting. Once again, we ask for your deep understanding and offer our sincere apologies to all the fans who have been waiting for this fan meeting."

Tickets will be fully refunded through the local promoter and each official ticketing platform.
