Singer-songwriter Kim Dong-ryul has confirmed the venue for his solo concert this fall as the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.

Kim Dong-ryul will hold his solo concert "2026 Kim Dong-ryul Concert 'Old Song'" at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, running for a total of seven shows from October 17 (Saturday) to October 19 (Monday), and from October 22 (Thursday) to October 25 (Sunday).

This concert holds special significance for Kim Dong-ryul. It marks his return to the Grand Theater stage at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts for the first time in seven years since his solo concert "Old Song" in 2019. Music fans are already at the height of anticipation as he will connect deeply with audiences once again at the same venue and under the same title that delivered deep emotion back then.

In particular, attention is focused on Kim Dong-ryul's new musical transformation, as this concert will be his first-ever attempt at an "orchestra-less concert" since his debut.

Having established a unique brand of performances through rich and grand orchestral sounds, Kim Dong-ryul is boldly breaking away from his typical style for this stage, focusing instead on minimalist band arrangements and his voice itself. Backed by his dedicated regular performance band "Yul Band," he plans to deliver a denser live performance centered on hidden masterpiece mini-songs that were rarely heard in large-scale productions.

Given that Kim Dong-ryul's solo concerts have long been famous for fierce "ticket wars" where all seats sell out the moment reservations open, the ticket reservations starting on September 4 are expected to be fiercer than ever.

Previously, Kim Dong-ryul announced the orchestra-less concert via social media on August 25, explaining, "Doing a concert with a full orchestral arrangement was my dream, and I was able to achieve that dream after returning from studying abroad. I still love this kind of grand and majestic epic style of music and performance, but even so, I wanted to try a somewhat minimalist concert that steps away from my typical performance style at least once."

Meanwhile, Kim Dong-ryul, who has set new standards for domestic performance culture, has met audiences across generations through various concerts since the 2000s, including "Invitation," "Monologue," "Thanks," "2015 KIMDONGRYUL THE CONCERT," "Old Song," "Melody," and "A Walk."

In particular, "Melody" in 2023 mobilized approximately 60,000 audience members across six shows, and "A Walk" in 2025 drew about 70,000 audience members over seven shows, proving his top-tier ticket power in the country.
