The press conference for "My Genie Secretary," held on the afternoon of the 28th at the Kensington Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by PD Kim Jung-wook, actor Lee Seo-jin, and actor Kim Kwang-gyu.
Lee Seo-jin, who always faces tough shoots, brought laughter by saying, "If it hadn't been for the Top Excellence Award at the Entertainment Awards, I would have turned down the offer for season 2. Receiving the award made me consider joining season 2."
Regarding the even more intense chores compared to the previous season, Lee Seo-jin continued with his signature witty remarks: "At first I complained, but later you develop a slave mentality of compliance. Suffering from chronic fatigue, Kwang-gyu hyung, who is nearing sixty, and I, going through menopause, are the two of us doing difficult secretary work. It is really hard running errands and cleaning up after the young folks."
Kim Kwang-gyu also added a witty resolve: "My stamina is dropping. The recording time is very long compared to other variety shows. If it were senior Lee Kyung-gyu, he would really hate it. There are times when we start early at dawn and finish at dawn. Despite that, since the drama and film market is not doing well, I am trying my best with 'My Genie Secretary.' If a movie comes in, I will quit."
The returning "My Genie Secretary" has announced its transformation into "real secretaries" who closely care for stars not only in their public schedules but also in their private lives. Having proven its buzzworthiness in the previous season by ranking first in viewership ratings in the same time slot, surpassing 170 million cumulative views, and ranking first in the OTT variety category, high expectations are focused on this season as well.
Starting with singer BIBI, "My Genie Secretary" has announced a star-studded guest lineup including Cha Tae-hyun, RESCENE, and Seo Inyoung, and will premiere at 11:10 p.m. on the 28th.
