SEVENTEEN member THE 8, who is in his 12th year since debut, has revealed a new side of himself off the stage.
THE 8 recently stepped up as the cover star for the 36th issue of D'ICON. From his intense charisma on stage to his free-spirited artistic side, looking at THE 8 through a fresh perspective as he continually expands his own color revealed expressions, movements, and emotions that had not been seen before.
According to D'ICON, the title for this issue is "THE 8TH SENSE." It captures THE 8 in a way that even Carats have not met yet. His 8th sense has been recorded across 128 pages.
Type A looked at THE 8 inside a quiet home. Sets, lights, and poses were stripped away. It focused on his unique sense naturally flowing from the most comfortable space.
THE 8 wore a loosely unbuttoned shirt and disheveled hair with a languid gaze. He leaned back casually on a chair or sometimes sat on the floor, lost in daydreams.
When light and shadows passed across his face, it revealed yet another mood. He embraced even the slightest changes with his own texture, and those delicate senses were captured without missing a beat.
Type B awakened a completely different sense. He headed out among the blue sky and green trees, drawing out the innocent charm that still remains within THE 8.
Whether riding a bicycle and cutting through the wind or looking with curious eyes at insects climbing trees, his eyes sparkling under the sunlight and corners of his mouth turned all the way up made him look like a boy.
His unique sense was also apparent in his styling. He put on a shirt, took it off, and then draped it lightly over his shoulders again, completing his fashion in his own way without being bound to set coordinates.
In the TMI interview, THE 8 reportedly opened up about the emotions and concerns he has felt as an artist so far.
Pre-orders for the D'ICON THE 8 edition begin at 2 PM today, August 25.
