The movie "The Odyssey" has defended its position at No. 1 at the weekend box office for three consecutive weeks, surpassing 7 million moviegoers.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network on the 24th, "The Odyssey" drew 1,321,209 viewers nationwide from the 21st to the 23rd. Its cumulative audience count reached 7,109,373.

This makes it the third film to cross the 7 million mark, following "The King's Warden" (16.91 million) and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" (8.12 million).

Entering its fourth week since release, it recorded a 70 percent reservation rate and 390,000 pre-sales as of the morning of the 24th. At this pace, it even aims to surpass 10 million viewers. Although it opened a week later than "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," it has maintained remarkable momentum through its third week. Given this atmosphere, there is a strong possibility it will record a higher final audience count than "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" drew 386,756 viewers over the same period, maintaining second place at the box office. Its cumulative audience count stands at 8,127,617.
