BLACKPINK JENNIE Reflects on Emotional Festival Journey After Shaking Hands and Showing Tears

Following concerns from fans after she was seen shaking and looking flustered during a festival performance, BLACKPINK member JENNIE has shared a long reflection on her social media looking back on her journey over the past three months.

On August 17, JENNIE posted on her social media account, saying, "I am truly grateful for the love and energy sent to me at every festival over the past three months. It is hard to put into words how much I experienced, learned, and grew during that time." She added, "Looking back, there were so many unexpected moments, and both good times and tough times. I've come to realize that those things are ultimately part of life. Not everything can be perfect, and perhaps it doesn't even need to be perfect from the start."

She showed a mature side by stating, "I am learning to accept even the difficult moments for what they are and to cherish this entire journey. Those moments have taught me so much and allowed me to grow."

Addressing the staff who worked with her for three months, JENNIE said, "None of this moment would have been possible without the truly wonderful people who created the stage with me. Thank you so much for pouring endless effort and passion into every performance and giving your all."

Finally, she greeted fans by saying, "I am now wrapping up this chapter with a lot of love, gratitude, and new inspiration," and added, "Thank you for being part of this journey with me."

Following her performance in Tokyo on August 14, JENNIE took the stage at "Summer Sonic 2026" in Osaka on August 16, which marked the final stop of her festival tour. Footage from the event showed JENNIE repeatedly adjusting her outfit and quickly fixing her top by turning around during the performance. She was also caught gesturing to the staff as if there was an issue with her microphone.

In particular, cameras captured her biting her lip to compose herself and brushing back her hair with shaking hands, raising concerns among fans. JENNIE directly explained to the audience during the show that there was an issue with her outfit, asking for their understanding due to the hotter-than-expected weather and sweat before continuing her performance. She also showed tears, appearing overwhelmed with emotion during her final goodbyes.

Meanwhile, JENNIE has performed at major festivals around the world, including ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026, The Governors Ball Music Festival, Roskilde Festival, Open'er Festival, Mad Cool Festival, Lollapalooza Chicago, and Summer Sonic. On August 8, celebrating BLACKPINK's 10th anniversary since debut, she met with domestic fans by attending a fan event held at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul alongside JISOO, ROSÉ, and LISA.
