Kim Ji-won Donates 100 Million Won to Seoul National University Children's Hospital: "I Decided It While Filming 'Doctor X'"

Actor Kim Ji-won has shared her warm influence for children in need.

On August 10, Seoul National University Children's Hospital announced that Kim Ji-won donated 100 million won on August 7 to support the ward environment improvement project and treatment costs for low-income patients.

This donation will be used to ease the medical expense burden for pediatric patients with severe, rare, and intractable diseases and their families coming from all over the country, allowing them to receive treatment in a safer and more comfortable environment.

Kim Ji-won stated, "While filming the drama 'Doctor X', I got a close look at the stories of the hardworking medical staff and the sick children, which made me decide to make this donation. I want to express my sincere gratitude and support to the medical staff, pediatric patients, and their families who are still working hard in the field."

Chae Jong-hee, director of Seoul National University Children's Hospital, expressed deep gratitude, saying, "We will put the donation to precious use to help pediatric families struggling with the burden of treatment costs and to ensure that children coming to the hospital from all over the country with hope can focus on their treatment in a safe and friendly space."

Kim Ji-won is preparing for her small-screen comeback, taking on the role of genius doctor Gye Su-jeong in the upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia" scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
