Chef Kim Do-yun, who gained popularity through the Netflix show "Culinary Class Wars", has revealed that he has been in a four-year relationship with actor Kim Seo-yeon.

On July 30, a video titled "You Picked Me Up via DM, but Oppa, Why Don't You Tag Me? (with Kim Do-yun, Kim Seo-yeon) | Saeolbbak Ep. 1" was released on the YouTube channel Studio Slam.

In the video, actor Kim Seo-yeon, who debuted in the 1999 film "Memento Mori" and has been active in dramas such as "The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won", "HYENA", and "Live Your Own Life", appeared as a guest.

Kim Seo-yeon shared her dating concerns, revealing, "I have a boyfriend, and we have been dating for about four years." She expressed her disappointment, saying, "On my boyfriend's birthday, I took a picture of a cake and tagged his social media account, but he did not share my story. He completely hides my existence online. He tags everyone else's stories, but not mine."

As people around her reacted with comments like "Isn't your boyfriend the tough guy type?" and "He must be very handsome," Kim Seo-yeon smiled brightly and said, "He has charm."

Soon after, the identity of her boyfriend was revealed. The man who accompanied her to the set was none other than Chef Kim Do-yun from "Culinary Class Wars".

Explaining why he did not repost her on social media, Chef Kim Do-yun said, "I had some concerns and worried that unexpected issues or unforeseen situations might arise," explaining that he did it to protect his girlfriend.

In response, Kim Seo-yeon shared her honest feelings, saying, "We fought so much, repeatedly blocking and unblocking each other, and right now we are unfollowed. Until now, I couldn't even reveal that he was my boyfriend, and I felt like I was being hidden."

The story of how the two first met was also revealed. Kim Seo-yeon confessed, "We first met at an after-party for a senior actor's play. His first impression was very intense. He came with his hair down, giving off a wild vibe. Afterward, he slid into my DMs and made a move, asking, 'Do you want to eat pork belly?'"

Kim Do-yun also revealed that it was his girlfriend Kim Seo-yeon who recommended that he join "Culinary Class Wars," sharing, "She said she would break up with me if I didn't go on the show."

Later, the two decided to follow each other again and wrapped up the dating counseling warmly by taking a couple's photo.

Meanwhile, Chef Kim Do-yun has been loved by viewers for his unique charm through his appearances in Netflix's cooking competition show "Culinary Class Wars" Seasons 1 and 2, as well as SBS's "Chefs’ Secrets of K-food".

Kim Seo-yeon is an actor born in 1981 who debuted in the 1999 film "Memento Mori". She made a strong impression on the public by playing Queen Jeong-an in the 2021 KBS1 historical drama "The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won".
