Yoon Kyungho Addresses 'Pinggyego' Grand Prize Buzz: "Just Being Mentioned Is an Honor, Lee Sung-min Is in a League of His Own"

Actor Yoon Kyungho has shared a candid and humble reaction to being mentioned as a potential Grand Prize candidate for the web variety show "Pinggyego".

During a press interview celebrating the conclusion of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Agent Kim Reactivated" (scripted by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun) held at a cafe in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 27th, Yoon was asked about his name being brought up as a year-end Grand Prize contender following his consecutive favorable receptions on the YouTube content "Pinggyego" this year.

He shared, "Just being mentioned as a Grand Prize candidate itself is a continuous series of such thankful and joyful moments," adding, "Watching Jee Seokjin hyung win the Grand Prize right next to me at last year's awards ceremony, I felt emotional realizing how much effort he put in for that spot. I received great love through chatting, but it is out of the question for me to eye that award after just two years."

Yoon has been active as a cheat key, capturing the hearts of numerous viewers not only through his explosive action and deep paternal love acting shown in the drama "Agent Kim Reactivated", but also through his uniquely honest and witty chatting in recent variety shows.

In particular, he expressed his respect by mentioning actor Lee Sung-min, who is also being discussed as a Grand Prize candidate for "Pinggyego". Yoon asserted, "If I were to be mentioned alongside senior Lee Sung-min, the Grand Prize would undoubtedly be overwhelmingly his. He is truly a lovely and amazing person. I have zero ambition for the Grand Prize."

Instead, he added a heartfelt sentiment he wishes to convey to the public through variety shows. Yoon stated, "I saw a comment on a video I appeared in calling me a 'mealtime companion,' and I loved that phrase so much. If someone listened to my chatting, enjoyed it, and received comfort, that is enough for me. I want to be someone who brings harmless joy that can be comfortably listened to without being particularly provocative."

Meanwhile, "Agent Kim Reactivated" is a revenge action drama about an ordinary father carrying out a mission to get his daughter back, which came to an end on the 25th. The final episode of "Agent Kim Reactivated" achieved massive success, recording a national viewership rating of 23.0% and 23.4% in the metropolitan area (based on Nielsen Korea). The work also continued its popularity in the global market by ranking first in the Netflix non-English TV show category for three consecutive weeks.

In this work, Yoon played the role of Park Jin-chul, perfectly digesting everything from the appearance of an ordinary family man to the comedic friendship of "middle-aged men in glasses" and the overwhelming action known as the "god of the battlefield," solidly anchoring the center of the drama and leading its success.
