J.Y. Park Steals the Show at 'Waterbomb Seoul 2026' in Mint Mesh Outfit

Park Jin-young, a veteran active dancer and entertainer in his 31st year since debut, proved his timeless power as an entertainer by performing at the "Waterbomb" festival for the second consecutive year.

Park took the stage on the final day of "Waterbomb Seoul 2026" as part of the Green Team lineup, held at the Goyang KINTEX outdoor global stage on the 26th. This marks his second consecutive appearance following last year.

In the middle of a festival dominated by the youngsters, Park was the oldest artist in the lineup, yet he ignited the crowd more than anyone else. Taking the stage at 5:30 PM just after the lingering 35-degree daytime heat began to cool, right after RAIN's special performance, Park received roaring cheers from the audience regardless of generation.

Park appeared in a tuxedo and captivated the audience with his signature witty remarks, saying, "Are you guys hot? Is this how you're supposed to dress? I guess I'm the only one who's hot." Soon after, he cast off his tuxedo to reveal the mint-colored mesh outfit he had previously teased. Although wearing long pants, his single-digit body fat abs and muscular physique were fully displayed.

The performances continued without a break. Park recreated his 1995 release "Elevator" alongside a female dancer. Although this song was released 31 years ago, it fell short of nothing in elevating the energy at the venue. Following it up with upbeat dancing and "When We Disco", Park smoothly delivered live vocals without a trace of fatigue.

He then performed the duet "Switch to Me" with RAIN, completing a monumental stage created by two legendary K-pop seniors.

Toward the end of the show, Park attempted generational communication by asking, "Are there any people here born in the '80s?" Saying, "There might be people who are glad to see me debuting in 1994," he sang "She Was Pretty" and "Don’t Leave Me, Don’t Leave Me" back-to-back, retracing his 31-year career history together with the audience.

Prior to his stage performance on this day, Park's physical maintenance had already been a hot topic. Having drawn massive attention at last year's Waterbomb with pink vinyl pants and a halterneck outfit, he had previously revealed that he began managing his body fat alongside promotions for his new song "WET" ahead of this year's Waterbomb appearance.

Park currently serves as the co-chairperson of the Pop Culture Exchange Committee and as CCO and executive producer of JYP Entertainment. Through thorough self-management, he continues his path as a singer on stage in addition to his work as a producer, serving as a role model for many junior K-pop artists.

He shared his thoughts as a singer on stage, stating, "I am active thinking of myself as a rookie singer in my 31st year," and adding, "I hope to remain a singer who always goes on stage energetic and excited like a rookie in your eyes." He had previously promised, "I will definitely show the best performances until I am 60 years old."

Meanwhile, Park is also scheduled to perform these songs at the "Waterbomb 2026" event to be held in Busan on the 8th of next month.
