Global pop star Shakira is drawing explosive attention from fans with a surprise Korean greeting.

Recently, Shakira posted a short video on her official Instagram saying "Hello. I am Shakira" in Korean. The clip showed her carefully and shyly pronouncing the Korean words, followed by choreographer Kany cheering for her, creating a heartwarming atmosphere.

Behind this Korean greeting was French-born choreographer Kany. Married to a Korean spouse and known to global audiences through appearances on Korean variety shows, Kany is the lead choreographer who directed the official theme song "Dai Dai" for the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America. He reportedly taught Shakira Korean directly during rehearsals and completed the video together with her.

The close friendship between the two grew even stronger while preparing for the World Cup stage. Kany directed Shakira's performance and worked closely with her, drawing interest from fans for their natural chemistry in the practice studio. On the 19th (local time), Shakira took the stage alongside BTS at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America final held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
