On the 14th, the production team of the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex x Cop 2" (written by Kim Ba-da, directed by Kim Jae-hong) released stills showing the class-apart dispatch scene of the main character Jin Yi-soo (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) and the Violent Crimes Unit 1 of Gangha Police Station.
"Flex x Cop 2," which premieres on Friday, August 7, as the follow-up to "Agent Kim Reactivated," is a refreshing and exhilarating investigative drama about chaebol detective Jin Yi-soo, who uses his wealth to flip the script when investigations hit a wall, and the new team leader Joo Hye-ra (played by Jung Eun-chae). As a key pillar of the SBS "cider" universe, following in the footsteps of "Taxi Driver," "The Fiery Priest," and "The Judge from Hell," it is a highly anticipated project that will kick off the 2026 SBS seasonal drama lineup with an expanded worldview and cheerful charm.
The stills unveiled today immediately grab attention by featuring the interior of Jin Yi-soo's ultra-luxurious private jet. With his hair perfectly slicked back and wearing a high-end custom suit, Jin Yi-soo announces his unrivaled return with a relaxed pose, holding a crystal whiskey glass while sinking into a luxurious recliner seat as if it were his own home.
Most notably, what made viewers doubt their eyes is the dramatic transformation of his Violent Crimes Unit 1 colleagues, Park Joon-young (played by Kang Sang-jun) and Choi Kyung-jin (played by Kim Shin-bi). Park Joon-young, a man of principle who fiercely guarded against Jin Yi-soo last season, calling him a "parachute hire," and the youngest member Choi Kyung-jin, who showed infinite fandom, have completely erased their usual rough detective appearances. The two, boasting sophisticated suit fits like members of a high-class social club and looking out the window with chic expressions while holding whiskey glasses, exude Jin Yi-soo's signature "high-end sensibility." The visuals of the two, now steeped in Jin Yi-soo's style, foreshadow that they have finally synchronized into a true "one team."
