Singer Hyolyn is returning with a new album for which she participated in producing every track.
Her agency, ReH Entertainment, released the tracklist for Hyolyn's fourth mini-album "OriginaLyn," set to be released on July 22 at 6 PM, through their official social media channels on July 12.
According to the tracklist, the album includes a total of 7 songs, including the title track "ChecK," as well as "OFFLINE," "SHOTTY," "Enjoy Your Meal," "What U Like," "YOU AND I," and "STANDING ON THE EDGE."
Notably, Hyolyn participated in producing all the tracks on this album, infusing it with her own musical color. She is credited for writing and composing "ChecK," "OFFLINE," "SHOTTY," "Enjoy Your Meal," and "YOU AND I," and also participated in writing the lyrics for "STANDING ON THE EDGE."
The album title "OriginaLyn" is a combination of "Original" and Hyolyn's name, "Lyn," signifying Hyolyn's unique music and identity that no one else can replace. It is an album that captures what Hyolyn has wanted, the image she has aspired to have, and her free and honest energy along with her own distinct style.
The title track "ChecK" is a song that depicts the moment of confidently checking one's own gaze and emotions. It combines a trendy beat, an addictive hook, and sensual sounds with Hyolyn's signature powerful yet relaxed vocals.
Previously, in an interview video, Hyolyn explained the album title, saying, "I hope this is an album that can show the most primal and essential side of the singer Hyolyn."
Regarding the title track "ChecK," she stated, "It is a story I am telling myself. It is a story for myself, but I worked on it with the hope that it would give strength to many people who, like me, need confidence and boldness."
Through this new release, Hyolyn reinterprets the 2026 version of Y2K pop sensibility in her own style. She plans to meet listeners this summer with music and performances filled with free and honest energy.
Hyolyn's fourth mini-album "OriginaLyn" will be released on various music streaming sites on July 22 at 6 PM.
