Netflix series "Our Sticky Love" (written by Mo Ji-hye, directed by Kim Jang-han) has confirmed its release date for August 7 and unveiled a teaser poster and trailer on July 10.
"Our Sticky Love" is a romantic comedy about the heart-fluttering cohabitation between elite prosecutor Go Eun-sae (played by Hayoung), who has lost her memory, and boxing coach Jang Tae-ha (played by Jung Hae-in), who insists he is her boyfriend.
The teaser poster released today highlights the contrast between Jang Tae-ha and Go Eun-sae against the backdrop of the quiet small town of "Goo-jin Yeot Village." It features Jang Tae-ha smiling in a way that is both affectionate and suspicious in the yard of a cozy country house, while Go Eun-sae looks on with a question mark hovering over her head.
The intense tagline, "No memories, no records. The only person I can trust is this man!" raises curiosity about the unpredictable events that will unfold for Go Eun-sae, who arrives in the unfamiliar Yeot Village following a man who claims to be her boyfriend after losing all her memories.
The teaser trailer, released alongside the poster, focuses on their spectacular first meeting and the mysterious narrative.
The trailer opens with Go Eun-sae’s charismatic past, where she arrives in a luxury sports car and confidently introduces herself: "I am Go Eun-sae, a prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office." This is followed by scenes of her being chased, the dark aura of Jang Tae-ha, and secret orders from crime boss Baek Sang-gil (played by Heo Sung-tae), sparking curiosity about the secrets hidden in their relationship.
The mood quickly shifts to comedy. Go Eun-sae wakes up in a hospital with amnesia and no identity, not even fingerprints to verify who she is. When she is confused about her own identity, Jang Tae-ha appears and drops a bombshell: "Don't you know who I am? I'm your boyfriend," signaling the start of an unusual connection.
A comedic highlight is Go Eun-sae’s reaction to the disheveled Jang Tae-ha, as she denies reality, thinking, "There is no way he is my boyfriend." Unable to believe his claim that he has been persistently following her since they first met in the mountains, she sighs, "In other words, I'm screwed, aren't I?" Expectations are high for the chemistry between the two as they track down whether the identity of the self-proclaimed "boyfriend" is true or false in a situation where she has no memories or traces of her past.
The Netflix series "Our Sticky Love," which has raised expectations with the fresh pairing of "rom-com master" Jung Hae-in and Hayoung, consists of 12 episodes and will be released on Netflix on August 7.
