A water safety guard at the scene reported the incident to 119, stating, "Only a life jacket is visible in the stream, and a person has not been seen for over 30 minutes."
Shortly after, another safety guard discovered the man, identified as A, in the water in a state of cardiac arrest.
Emergency rescue teams dispatched following the report transported him to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead.
