Group CORTIS has set a new record for the most No. 1s on the Spotify South Korea chart by a boy group.
"REDRED," the title track of CORTIS's second mini-album, reached No. 1 on the global music streaming platform Spotify's "Daily Top Songs Korea" chart on the 20th, marking its 50th day at the top.
This is the highest number of No. 1s for a single track by a boy group since Spotify began tracking the South Korean chart in 2021. Despite being a rookie group that debuted less than a year ago, CORTIS has established itself as a new powerhouse in the music market by maintaining an exceptional long-run success.
The upward trend of "REDRED" is also evident in its streaming figures. The song surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify on the 16th. This record was achieved just 57 days after its release, making it the fastest song by a boy group that debuted within the last five years to reach 100 million streams.
The group is also making a strong presence on major domestic music platforms. "REDRED" took the No. 1 spot on the latest YouTube Music "Weekly Top Songs" chart (tracked from June 12 to 18). Rising one spot from second place last week to reach the top, CORTIS has now swept the weekly charts across major platforms, including Melon, Bugs, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
