Actor Lee Seung-gyu, who garnered attention for his intense villain performance in the Netflix series 'Teach You a Lesson', has recently made a donation to the BTF Foundation (Blue Tree Foundation) to support victims of school violence, joining efforts to prevent bullying and assist those affected.

A representative from Lee's agency stated, "We heard the actor's intentions and felt it was a meaningful decision," adding, "We decided to share this news together so that his positive influence could reach more people."

The BTF Foundation, which received the donation from Lee, is a leading non-profit organization in Korea dedicated to preventing school violence, founded by Chairman Kim Jong-ki, who lost his child to school bullying. The foundation has consistently carried out school violence prevention education and support programs for victims and their families. Chairman Kim's story previously gained widespread empathy after being featured on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block'.

In the first episode of 'Teach You a Lesson', Lee Seung-gyu played Ryu Jun-hyung, a power-tripping school bully who is the son of a presidential hopeful, Assemblyman Ryu Gwang-pil. His cold and realistic acting drew viewers into the story, leaving such a strong impression that he earned the nickname "pretty trash" online. Since the show's release, he has been gaining attention as a next-generation rising star, with his social media follower count surging.

The recently released Netflix series 'Teach You a Lesson' topped the Netflix Global Non-English TV series chart immediately upon its release and has maintained the top spot for two consecutive weeks, continuing its global success. In particular, it has established itself as a global hit, ranking number one in 46 countries and entering the Top 10 in 91 countries.
