Ahn Hyo Seop recently participated in his second photoshoot with a beauty brand for which he currently serves as a global ambassador. Expressing his satisfaction with the shoot, he said, "Working with various looks and products made it feel lively and allowed for a much more unique expression." Choosing "Self-Portrait" as the title for this pictorial, he explained his emotions at the time, saying, "There was a cut where we projected the footage we shot earlier onto the background and I posed in front of it. It was fascinating, and I felt so moved that my eyes welled up with tears during the shoot."
He also addressed the viral anecdote from last March when he attended the 98th Academy Awards and was dubbed "Fan Guy" for carrying a portable fan. Ahn Hyo Seop recalled, "LA is famous for its beautiful weather, but that day was exceptionally hot, and the lights shining down on the tent made it scorching." He added, "I held the portable fan thinking, 'Let's just survive first,' and it truly felt like a ray of light." He shared a delightful behind-the-scenes detail, saying, "Many stars and staff members on-site envied it, so I ended up carrying it around proudly later on."
Known as one of the entertainment industry's representative cat lovers, Ahn Hyo Seop also opened up about his pet cat, Baul. When asked to define the charm of cats in one sentence, he described it as "within reach but untouchable," adding, "They are masters of playing hard to get—when you reach out, they aren't there, but before you know it, they're right by your side." If Baul could speak, Ahn Hyo Seop predicted his first words would be, "What are you doing, meow?" He shared, "I heard that cats perceive the humans they live with as giant cats. Just as I can't understand Baul's behavior, Baul probably can't understand mine either, which is why he always stares at me with curious eyes."
Regarding his synchronization with his character Matthew Lee from the recently concluded SBS drama 'Sold Out on You', he pointed to "persistence" as their common trait. Ahn Hyo Seop shared, "We are alike in how we push through to the end once we have something in mind and achieve the goals we set." However, he noted a difference: "Matthew lived in the countryside away from real-world problems for a long time, doing things his own way, whereas in reality, I tend to try and face any problem head-on."
Ahn Hyo Seop is currently fully focused on preparing for his upcoming project, 'Final Table'. Playing the role of professional chef Kang Han, he shared his current routine: "Lately, I've been concentrating on cooking practice, especially knife skills. Knife work is fun, clears my mind, and seems to improve my focus." When asked to rate his own cooking skills, he showed humility, saying, "Since my role is a professional chef, if judged by that standard, I'm probably not even at 0.5 points yet. I still have a long way to go."
Lastly, he chose Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida' as the song he wants to sing together with his fans. Ahn Hyo Seop expressed his warm affection for his fans, saying, "Since it's a song with a famous melody that anyone can enjoy and sing along to, I want to perform it while communicating and singing together with my fans."
