Earlier in front of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee meeting room, when reporters asked whether he offered to resign due to the party line on abolishing supplementary investigation powers, Minister Jeong explained, "My political future is not what is important." He added, "When the President is abroad working for the national interest, it is inappropriate to bring up such matters."
