IBK Secures Opening Win Against Hyundai E&C Behind Ironclad Blocking

The women's professional volleyball team IBK Altos defeated Hyundai E&C, propelled by an ironclad defense at the net, to kick off the season with a victory.

At crucial moments, IBK's height made all the difference.

Starting from the first set, Victoria and Choi Jeong-min successfully executed three consecutive blocks to gain momentum, shutting down the opponent's attacks with decisive blocks whenever the team faced a tight spot.

Even at match point, Choi Jeong-min put the finishing touch with a flawless block.

Outperforming Hyundai E&C with 12 blocks, which is twice as many as their opponents, IBK clinched a dominant 3-0 sweep in their season opener, and manager Manabe celebrated a victorious debut in the regular league.

Audrey Park, the number one overall draft pick and rookie, made a surprise appearance late in the second set to play her debut match on the Korean stage.
