"Running Ruins Your Knees": Yu Jae-seok's Confession of Painful 50-Something Injury Leaves Everyone in Stitches on Whenever Possible

Whenever Possible, Yu Jae-seok, Yoo Yeonseok, and Yang Se-jong reveal how the reasons behind their injuries change with age.

On the episode of the SBS variety show Whenever Possible airing on the night of November 3, "Two-Yoo MCs" Yu Jae-seok and Yoo Yeonseok, alongside guest "Gap Friends" and actors Lee Dong-hwi and Yang Se-jong, visit Seoul's Haebangchon neighborhood during a spare moment to spread good fortune.

During a recent recording, Yang Se-jong opened up about his post-injury concerns, saying, "I've been taking care of my body ever since I suffered an ankle fracture. I'm trying hard to make sure the first digit of my weight doesn't change." In response, Yoo Yeonseok vented his frustration over injuries that strike for no apparent reason, sharing, "These days, I get injured just from sleeping and waking up. Running is popular lately so I do marathons, but my knees hurt when I run."

Then Yu Jae-seok showed off(?) an injury anecdote that his younger co-stars couldn't even imagine, saying, "If I run, my knees go out. That's why I hear everyone's going to the hospital these days." He then delivered the final blow by adding, "If I start talking about those kinds of anecdotes, there's no end to it," throwing the set into fits of laughter.

On this day, the four men flaunted a generation-bridging "affectionate brothers" chemistry. Lee Dong-hwi and Yang Se-jong worked together as a fantastic duo of younger brothers who attentively filled in the gaps left by the two older brothers, while Yu Jae-seok expressed satisfaction by saying, "There's a reason why they're so well-loved."

Meanwhile, Whenever Possible, which has firmly established itself as a Tuesday variety powerhouse by maintaining the No. 1 spot in its time slot for 11 consecutive weeks, is scheduled to air tonight (November 3) at 10:30 PM due to the broadcast of Game 1 of the 2026 KBO Korean Series.
