The Samsung batters, who suffered from a meager two hits in Game 1 the previous day, began their counterattack in the bottom of the third inning while trailing 1-0.

With two outs and a runner on second, Park Seung-kyu hit an RBI double down the left-field line, raising both hands to elicit cheers from the home fans. Then, Koo Ja-wook registered his first hit of the series with a go-ahead RBI single, roaring in celebration.

Then, Diaz asserted his presence with a decisive long hit.

He hit a high fastball from Oller, sending a bullet-like two-run homer over the right-center field wall to give his team a three-run lead.

Adding a run in the fifth inning on a bases-loaded walk by Choi Hyung-woo, Samsung effectively sealed the victory in the sixth with Kim Ji-chan's RBI double and Park Seung-kyu's sacrifice fly.

Choi Hyung-woo, who broke the record for the oldest postseason appearance by starting as the left fielder, made a stellar impact on both offense and defense—throwing out Castro at second base with a precise throw in the sixth inning and even hitting a solo home run in the seventh. Combined with a stellar pitching performance from Hurado, who started and kept the opponent to two runs through two outs in the seventh inning, Samsung secured an 8-3 victory.

[Park Jin-man / Samsung Manager: It seems our players' batting pace has picked up a bit. Today's performance clearly showed that even if we clash strength against strength for the rest of the series, we definitely have a winning chance.]

Moving to Gwangju, the two teams will play Game 3 tomorrow (the 29th), with Choi Won-tae and Shirakawa respectively named as starting pitchers.
