Daejeon Secures Miraculous Comeback Win After 45-Minute Rain Delay

Trailing by two goals in the first half, Daejeon mounted a stunning comeback by scoring three goals in the second half—which resumed after a 45-minute rain delay—to secure an unbelievable victory in professional football.

Hosting bottom-ranked Gwangju at home, Daejeon had a shaky start, conceding the opening goal just three minutes into the match.

With puddles forming across the pitch and the ball failing to roll properly, they failed to mark Idele once again after his opening goal, conceding an additional goal.

As the rain intensified, the start of the second half was delayed by 45 minutes, after which the momentum shifted completely.

In the 28th minute of the second half, Daejeon's Seo Jin-su fired home a penalty kick awarded following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review to signal the chase, and four minutes later, Diogo finished off a pass threaded by Rubusson to level the score.

Then, in stoppage time of the second half, a cross sent from the left flank deflected off the head of Gwangju defender Moon Min-seo into his own net, completing Daejeon's grand comeback.

Extending their unbeaten run to six matches, Daejeon climbed to fifth place.
