The moment Nuri soared toward space, cheers erupted among the citizens watching from the site. We connect once again to the observatory.

Reporter Hong Seung-yeon, what was the citizens' reaction?

Yes, I am currently at the Goheung Space Launch Observatory.

I just witnessed the live launch of Nuri alongside the citizens.

As Nuri spewed red flames and massive smoke, soaring high into the sky, the observatory filled with tremendous cheers and applause from the citizens.

Fortunately, the weather was clear today with little sea fog, allowing us to clearly see with our naked eyes Nuri powerfully ascending past the mountain ridges.

Upon hearing the news of the successful launch, citizens who had gathered since early morning to wait for Nuri's launch shared their overwhelming joy.

Now, let's talk with one of the citizens who shared the moment of Nuri's successful launch.

[Kim Su-wan, Kim Chan-hyeok, Kim Ha-jin / Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do]: (Hello! Nuri successfully lifted off just a moment ago. How do you feel about watching it with your own eyes?) Coming here since dawn with my children whose dream is to be space scientists, and seeing Nuri launch right before our eyes with a magnificent sound was so touching and joyful. I hope Nuri flies even further and higher in the future. Go Nuri!

As you just heard, the emotion and pride of the successful launch became an unforgettable memory for all visitors who came here.

Citizens gathered at major viewing spots in Goheung, such as the nearby Namyeol Beach and Palyeongsan Mountain, also united in celebrating a new chapter in South Korea's space era.

Hoping that the results of the upcoming first communication with the satellite are also successfully confirmed, our reporting team will continue to deliver joyful news from the site until the end.
