Caution Over Large Temperature Swings on National Foundation Day; Rain Expected in Some Areas Sunday

As the night deepens, the air is turning even chillier.

Currently, temperatures in Seoul have dropped to around 15°C (59°F).

With the air turning noticeably cooler in the mornings and evenings now, you will need to take good care of your body temperature with outer layers.

Tomorrow (the 3rd), National Foundation Day, will also feature very large temperature swings between day and night.

Morning lows will drop to 11°C (52°F) in Seoul, 7°C (45°F) in Chuncheon, and 9°C (48°F) in Daejeon, making it as chilly as today, while daytime highs will rise significantly to 23°C (73°F) in Seoul and Jeonju, and 25°C (77°F) in Gwangju.

Tomorrow, the amount of clouds in the sky will simply increase somewhat.

There is rain forecast for the day after tomorrow, Sunday.

Rain is expected between morning and afternoon on the east coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Busan, and Ulsan, and from late at night in northern Gyeonggi Province, including Seoul, and inland areas of northern Gangwon Province.

Although the precipitation amount will not be large, caution is advised as it may be accompanied by gusty winds and lightning.

On next Monday, the substitute holiday, the rain will expand to most parts of the country except Gyeongsangnam-do, and will mostly stop by the morning.
