Family of Victim in Fatal 'Uninsured' Drunk Driving Crash Outraged Over Lack of Contact

On September 14, at an intersection in Okjeong-dong, Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, a drunk driver violated a signal and crashed into a vehicle driving straight.

Due to the impact, the victim's vehicle was pushed into a bicycle lane. The driver, in their 30s, was taken to the hospital but ultimately passed away.

At the time of the accident, the offending driver's blood alcohol level was at the level for license revocation, and the vehicle being driven was not even insured.
