In the upcoming episode of "My Little Old Boy" airing on the 13th, the single life of singer Kim Bum-soo will be revealed for the first time, following ten years of persistent casting efforts by the production team.
During a recent studio recording, host Shin Dong-yeob enthusiastically welcomed Kim Bum-soo to the show, saying, "The production team went to all sorts of lengths over the past 10 years to bring him on." The daily life of Kim Bum-soo revealed afterward left even host Seo Jang-hoon in awe. From aligning cup handles at precise angles to maintaining an immaculate hygiene standard that allows not a single speck of dust, he earned official recognition from the self-proclaimed cleanliness king Seo Jang-hoon.
His dedication to self-care was also on display. A vanity table equipped with around 20 products, including a cosmetic refrigerator, and a walk-in closet reminiscent of a select shop drew admiration from the Mother Avengers.
However, the pain hidden behind his glamorous daily life was also revealed. Visiting a vocal training center, Kim Bum-soo was seen struggling and repeatedly cracking his notes during practice. Kim Bum-soo shared, "It felt like the sky was falling as a singer," while opening up about an incident from 7 years ago that forced him to suddenly give up his concert. He confessed that because of the events of that day, "Walking up onto the stage was terrifying, and it felt like climbing a cold gallows." Furthermore, he showed how hard it is for him now to even sing his hit song "Please."
Watching this, special host Joo Sang Wook welled up with tears and could not hide his heartbreak.
The hidden daily life and deep inner stories of legend singer Kim Bum-soo will be revealed on "My Little Old Boy," airing at 9:30 PM on Sunday the 13th. This broadcast will be delayed compared to its usual time due to the broadcast of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
