The film "Flavor of Prison" (literal title) wrapped up filming on September 5 and released a group character cut.
"Flavor of Prison" is a cheerful comedic film depicting a culinary rehabilitation project where a star chef, who hits rock bottom overnight and starts working in a prison kitchen, creates soul-awakening dishes using unimaginable recipes and ingredients.
Lee Sun-bin takes on a fresh charm as Jessica, a star chef who has only walked the elite culinary path and does not hesitate to dish out sharp remarks, only to fall overnight to a prison kitchen.
In addition, Park Ji-hwan, with his irreplaceable presence, adds vitality to the story as Jeong-bae, the head of Cell No. 3, who constantly clashes with star chef Jessica while creating surprising dishes using unheard-of recipes and unidentified ingredients.
Bae Hyun-sung is set to showcase a fresh charm as Su-hyeon, a newcomer in Cell No. 3 who is emerging as a Gen Z prison chef with his delicate personality that stimulates protective instincts and his innate cooking sense.
The actors and director, having finished all filming, shared their thoughts on wrapping up. Lee Sun-bin shared, "The time spent with "Flavor of Prison" passed really quickly. I am glad we finished filming safely, and I eagerly look forward to meeting the audience in theaters with this project."
Park Ji-hwan also expressed confidence in the work, saying, "Thanks to the director, staff members, and fellow actors, I was able to work hard with a comfortable mind. I hope the day comes soon when we can present this work in theaters." Bae Hyun-sung conveyed his anticipation, stating, "It feels like filming ended in the blink of an eye, so it still doesn't feel real. I think I will miss everyone I worked with, including the Cell No. 3 family and the staff members. Since we all did our best while filming, I hope many people will give it a lot of love."
Director Kim Gu-jung, who helmed "Flavor of Prison," shared his thoughts on safely completing the shoot, saying, "Wonderful actors and staff gathered to work with joyful and happy hearts, and it was a set full of bright energy throughout the filming period. I will wrap up post-production well and greet the audience."
