LADIES' CODE leader ASHLEY has commemorated late members Ko Eun Bi and KWON RISE, who passed away in a tragic accident 12 years ago.
On September 1, ASHLEY posted photos on her social media along with the message, "I went to see KWON RISE and Ko Eun Bi before leaving for the US. I still miss you and want to see you." The released photos captured lovely pictures of the LADIES' CODE members, including the late Ko Eun Bi and KWON RISE, placed in what appeared to be a memorial space along with a Blue Marble board game box, making it even more heartbreaking for fans.
LADIES' CODE debuted as a five-member group in March 2013 and became one of the most spotlighted girl groups of that year. However, a year and six months later, on September 3, 2014, while returning after finishing broadcast activities, a car accident occurred in which member Ko Eun Bi passed away at the scene, while KWON RISE, who had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, ultimately closed her eyes four days later on September 7.
The three remaining members have continued their activities by making a comeback as LADIES' CODE while remembering the departed members. Last April, member KIM JUMI became the first in the group to hold a wedding ceremony. LEE SOJUNG and ASHLEY are also active as solo singers, and ASHLEY in particular is active through podcast radio hosting and running her YouTube channel.
