AI chipmaker Nvidia has once again posted all-time high earnings.
Nvidia announced that its second-quarter revenue more than doubled compared to the same period last year, reaching $96.22 billion.
This figure surpasses the market consensus of $92.17 billion.
Earnings per share also slightly topped market expectations, and the data center division generated $89 billion in revenue, the company said.
Ahead of the earnings release, Nvidia shares experienced a downturn overnight on Wall Street.
Having slid for seven consecutive trading sessions recently, Nvidia fell another 1.5% during regular trading today (the 27th).
Analysts attributed the drop to lingering anxieties over the sustainability of the AI industry and concerns regarding excessive capital expenditures.

The Wall Street Journal pointed out that investors have grown wary due to sharp increases in Nvidia server prices driven by memory chip shortages, as well as Nvidia's investments in developing AI models tailored for the Chinese market.
After the earnings announcement, Nvidia's chief financial officer projected a 70% growth in revenue through 2028, sending Nvidia shares back up in after-hours trading.
