Hong Min-gi's Agency Denies Dating Violence Allegations, Warns of Legal Action for Stalking and Defamation
Actor Hong Min-gi's agency has strongly denied recent allegations of dating violence and assault, announcing plans to take legal action.

On August 19, Hong's agency, Fable Company, released an official statement saying, "The content certificates and posts made public by individual A contain numerous claims that differ from the facts as understood by our agency. To prevent further misunderstandings and damage, we are revealing the verified facts."

According to the agency, Hong and A began dating around April of this year, but Hong requested a breakup after trust was broken due to A's contact with other individuals. They claim that A refused to accept this and continued stalking behaviors, including persistent contact and visits. The agency stated, "Around 1:00 a.m. today, A came to the actor's home, ringing the doorbell and knocking until 4:00 a.m. According to CCTV footage secured by our agency, abnormal behavior by A was also confirmed, including covering the entrance CCTV camera with a sticker so it wouldn't record and kicking the front door."

The agency also pointed out that A made threatening remarks by exploiting the actor's profession. According to the agency, A called Hong and pressured him with statements such as, "Truth or whatever, if I just file a lawsuit, oppa, you're finished," and "Oppa, you have a lot to lose," explaining that A posted distorted content certificates and provocative posts when demands were not met.

The agency stated, "We plan to do our best to ensure the facts are clearly revealed through objective data and legal procedures," and warned of strong legal action, stating, "We plan to take all necessary civil and criminal measures, including stalking-related legal actions against repeated contact and approach attempts made against the actor's will, and defamation for publicizing and distributing false information."

Earlier, influencer A revealed a content certificate sent to Hong via social media, claiming damages from a soju bottle being thrown, assault, threats, and invasion of privacy. The controversy further escalated as A continued with additional disclosures alleging pet abuse, deceiving fans, and disparaging colleagues.

Meanwhile, Hong Min-gi debuted in 2020 and has appeared in "Night Has Come", "Love Your Enemy", "Study Group", and "Crushology 101", and is currently awaiting the release of "Study Group 2".
