Broadcaster and painter Lee Hye-young (54) has shared her warmth for neighbors affected by torrential downpours centered in the southern regions, including Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province.
According to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Lim Chae-chung) on the 18th, Lee Hye-young donated 30 million won to help flood victims in Geoje. The collected funds will be used to restore the affected areas and help victims return to their daily lives.
Lee Hye-young is a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a group of major donors to Hope Bridge. Starting with the Gangwon wildfires in 2019, she has consistently expressed her support through donations whenever disasters occur. Including this donation, her cumulative contributions to Hope Bridge have reached 210 million won.
Lee Hye-young shared, "My heart broke seeing the scenes of the damage on the news," adding, "I sincerely hope that neighbors suffering from sudden disasters can regain a safe and peaceful daily life as soon as possible."
