Park So-dam Fills Summer with 'The Journey to Gyeongju' and Special GV with Bong Joon-ho

Actor Park So-dam is making the most of this summer by presenting two films back-to-back.

Starting with the animated film "Free Dogs" on the 19th, Park will meet audiences consecutively through the film "The Journey to Gyeongju" on the 26th. Having showcased a wide acting spectrum by moving across different genres and characters, Park continues her active streak this summer ranging from voice acting to feature films.

First, in "Free Dogs," she lent her voice to Bami, a girl-crush character who escaped from a dog farm, helping to complete the character's vivid emotions and personality. "Free Dogs" is a touching adventure animation about a stray dog named Moongchi (played by D.O.) whose destiny changes overnight, as he sets off to find true freedom alongside friends with various stories, including the street survival master Jjang-ah (played by Park Chul-min) and Bami, who escaped from a dog farm. The film is approaching a re-release as a 4K new-mastering version of "Underdog," which has been recognized at numerous film festivals.

Following that, she will meet audiences on the 26th with the film "The Journey to Gyeongju." "The Journey to Gyeongju" is a family revenge drama about four mothers and daughters who set out on a deadly journey after eight years of waiting for Gyeongju, their youngest daughter who never returned from a school trip. Park So-dam plays Young-joo, the second daughter of Ok-sil (played by Lee Jung-eun), adding vitality to the film with realistic logic and sharp facts. She is set to portray a character where helplessness and coolness coexist in a three-dimensional way through her signature dense acting. Attention is focused on what kind of charm Park So-dam, who has left an unrivaled presence in major works every time, will show this time through the character Young-joo.

In particular, on the day of its release, she will also attend "Deadly GV Part 2" held at Lotte Cinema World Tower. This GV was arranged after Park So-dam personally proposed a meeting with Director Bong Joon-ho, creating a special time where the two people who worked together in "Parasite" gather in one place once again to talk about the work.

As this meeting was realized through Park So-dam's active push, it adds further meaning beyond a simple GV, marking another continuation of the bond between the actor and the director. With Director Kim Mi-jo, Lee Jung-eun, Kong Hyo-jin, Lee Yeon, as well as Director Bong Joon-ho gathering in one place, film fans' interest in this meaningful reunion created personally by Park So-dam is growing even higher.

Meanwhile, Park So-dam's range of activities continued outside the screen as well. Recently, she took on barrier-free film narration for the first time by participating in the audio description narration recording for the barrier-free version of "Conclave," which is produced so that people with visual and hearing impairments can enjoy films without barriers. She has also communicated with the public through friendly charms on various variety programs.
