Haeundae Beach in Busan, South Korea's premier summer resort destination, is bustling with vacationers flocking from all over the country amid the peak summer holiday season.

During the scorching daytime, civilian aquatic rescue teams patrol various parts of the beach to prevent accidents, taking charge of safety by rescuing swimmers in distress, searching for missing persons, removing jellyfish, and resolving various inconveniences.

Once the sun goes down, the duties of police officers begin. After the beach closes, they patrol the shoreline and respond to drunken disturbances and various incidents and accidents in the downtown area crowded with tourists.
