Lee Jung-eun·Kong Hyo-jin·Park So-dam·Lee Yeon Team Up for 'The Journey to Gyeongju'

The upcoming film "The Journey to Gyeongju" has released character posters and a suspicious family teaser video capturing the strong personalities of Lee Jung-eun, Kong Hyo-jin, Park So-dam, and Lee Yeon.

"The Journey to Gyeongju" is a family revenge story about four mother-and-daughter family members who set out on a killer trip after eight years of waiting for their youngest daughter, Gyeongju, who never returned from a school trip.

The newly released posters capture the eyes with the distinct charms of the four mother-and-daughter members heading straight toward revenge, along with unconventional catchphrases. First, mother Oksil (Lee Jung-eun), with a resolute gaze full of firm determination, reveals her grief-fueled desire for revenge and the strength to protect her daughters with the resolute catchphrase, "Just say it was something Mom did alone."

Eldest daughter Jangju (Kong Hyo-jin) displays the image of a dependable supporter who unconditionally takes her mother's side, accompanied by the catchphrase, "What logic do we need when it comes to family?" Next, second daughter Yeongju (Park So-dam) shows the side of a cool-headed strategist who sets up the game while simultaneously drawing a line with the catchphrase, "I said I'd only make the plan and step back." Meanwhile, third daughter Dongju (Lee Yeon), with a shocked expression and the catchphrase, "She didn't really die, did she?", raises expectations for her role as a person of action who will run through the scene without hesitation.

Centered around mother Lee Jung-eun, who organized the trip to clear the resentment of her youngest daughter Gyeongju, the cast includes eldest daughter Kong Hyo-jin as a supporter who worries about her mother day and night and unconditionally believes and follows her words; second daughter Park So-dam as a strategist who meticulously plans alibis even while preaching detachment in her mind; and third daughter Lee Yeon as an action-oriented figure who spares no physical effort even in dangerous situations. Crafted by trusted, veteran actors, the realistic family chemistry—along with unexpected developments including car chases and physical brawls, and a persistent pursuit—heralds the birth of a fresh family revenge drama unlike any seen before.

Raising anticipation with the killer synergy of the four mother-and-daughter members, the film "The Journey to Gyeongju" will meet audiences in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, August 26.
