'Animal Farm' Hits 6% Peak Ratings Following Ai Bao's Fourth Birth

SBS "TV Animal Farm" took first place in viewership ratings in its time slot as it revealed the story of giant panda Ai Bao welcoming her fourth baby and becoming a mother of four.

According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership research institution, on the 27th, the previous day's broadcast of SBS "TV Animal Farm" recorded a viewership rating of 5.1% and a peak rating of 6% based on households in the Seoul metropolitan area, proving fierce viewer interest.

The broadcast featured Ai Bao, who gave birth to a healthy baby panda last June following Fu Bao and the twins Rui Bao and Hui Bao, showing her touching birth process and even more seasoned parenting skills.

While she showed some awkwardness when giving birth to her firstborn Fu Bao in 2020, Ai Bao demonstrated seasoned skills during her third birth by catching the baby in her arms before it even touched the floor. Her "master of parenting" side, eating bamboo with one hand while handling childcare with the other, also drew attention.

Regarding the youngest panda, who surpassed 1 kg in body weight just a month after birth, zookeeper Kang Chul-won shared, "It has the fastest growth rate, which seems related to Ai Bao's parenting skills."

In particular, the scene where zookeeper Kang Chul-won held the baby panda instead while Ai Bao was focused on bamboo shoots, a postpartum recovery health food, showed their "perfect teamwork in co-parenting" and recorded a peak rating of 6%, taking the "best minute" spot.

Meanwhile, the innocent daily lives of twin sisters Rui Bao and Hui Bao enjoying the summer heat on an ice bed and in a pond while bickering over bamboo shoots even after getting a youngest sibling were also revealed, bringing laughter.
